Singapore, 27th September 2023 – TradeWaltz Inc., Japan’s operator of the premier trade platform ” TradeWaltz™” has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with GUUD International Pte Ltd, a leading cross border trade technology platform solutions company in Singapore on 21st September 2023. This strategic alliance aims to reshape the landscape of cross border trade by harnessing the power of blockchain technology to digitize and seamlessly connect trade operations between the ASEAN region and Japan.
In line with the ASEAN-Japan Economic Co-Creation Vision, which was unveiled on August 22, 2023, in celebration of the 50th anniversary of the partnership between ASEAN and Japan, TradeWaltz has been working with ASEAN countries to expand its collaborative efforts. The Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between GUUD and TradeWaltz will support the deployment and system integration of both platforms in Japan and Singapore.

Singapore is third ASEAN country where TradeWaltz™ has expanded its collaborative efforts to, following previous MoUs signed in Brunei and Thailand. The ASEAN-Japan Economic Co-Creation Vision is poised to shape the next five decades and to foster a secure, prosperous, and free economic society between ASEAN and Japan, grounded by mutual trust. One of the policy’s key pillars, “Enhancing Cyber and Physical Connectivity,” lays the groundwork for several transformative initiatives. These include the digitization and streamlining of trade procedures, and the establishment of a robust and frictionless logistics network through the concept of “Digital Free and Reliable Data Flow” (DFFT). The policy document specifically mentions the vital role of blockchain technology in the process, highlighting the imperative measure titled “Digitalization and Linkage of Trade Procedures in Commerce, Logistics, and Money Flow in ASEAN and Japan Using Blockchain Technology.”
